Burgas - the city of art

vkliu4i-city-ob6tinaThe inhabitants of the seaside city of Burgas have once again confirmed that their city is not in vain for the title of the most artistic and modern city in Bulgaria.

The three-day art festival of creative art “Turn on the city” (“Turn on the hail”) was held in Burgas. The festival is addressed to all residents of the city, without value of age, gender, nationality, education and interests. It is not by chance that this festival always takes place in the spring before the beginning of the noisy tourist season, when the city is what it is, as ordinary people know it. This is a festival of the city for the citizens, and in all the events of the festival artists and public took part together.

The art festival “Turn on the city” also has its own separate art territory, where almost all events took place - the Sea Garden, the border of land and sea, which has always been a source of inspiration for art masters.

The festival consisted of a series of events in the open air, the participants of which could be anyone and even random passers-by could unexpectedly become the main actor. It should be noted that residents of the city were happy to take part in the festival activities, and everyone who wanted to find a role for themselves.

The festival began on Friday night with a colorful street procession of fabulous giants who rolled huge balloons, juggled with burning torches and communicated with passersby. Great interest of the public caused a machine for drawing, inside which was a living artist. Many residents of Burgas took part in the workshop “Supercity”, in which everyone could express their wishes, how he would like to see his native city, and what the result is, if you take into account all the wishes.

But the most curious attraction was the so-called "phantomists", which are humanoid figures, in which instead of the eyes there are monitors operating on the principle of "coin-key-video". By dropping a coin and pressing a key, the consumer never knew exactly which video he would see. "Phantoms" however, worked without coins.
